Cephalotaxus fortunei

The 'Chinese Plum Yew' makes a hardy, bushy, large, rounded shrub or small tree, broader than tall. The very narrow evergreen leaves are up to 9cm long and female trees bear edible olive-brown fruit up to 3cm long in autumn. As shade tolerant as a Taxus, this can also be grown in full sun. From Central and South Western China and suited to most soils, including chalk.
