Cornus x elwinortonii ‘Venus’

A hybrid of C. kousa and C. nuttallii bearing one of the most magnificent floral displays of any Cornus. The broad rounded clear white bracts that surround the flowers reach typically to 12 to 15cm across and occasionally to 17.5cm! They are borne in profusion on the spreading branches in June. Up to approx' 6m tall by 8m across. Good autumn tints. For sun or semi-shade.
