Cotoneaster congestus

Found on rocks in the Arunachal Pradesh Himalaya, very near both Tibet and Bhutan, this is a very low growing, hummock forming and creeping evergreen shrub, with red stems and tiny green leaves. Excellent for covering difficult banks or growing over rockwork etc., this tolerates exposed positions well. Many small white flowers in summer followed by red fruit.
