Cupressus dupreziana var. atlantica

Little known and rarely grown, though hardy in the UK, this is from the High Atlas mountains of Morocco where it is found in only a few populations. A conical tree, forming a tight column when young, very much like an Italian Cypress. A forty year old tree at Kew is a very narrow spire at approximately 10m tall. Very drought tolerant, this is a tree for future lanscapes.
