Daphne ‘Spring Herald’
Similar to D. bholua, but with the spicy citrus fragrance of 'Fragrant Cloud', this is indeed a hybrid of D. acutiloba 'Fragrant Cloud' x D. bholua 'Jacqueline Postill'. Bushier than D. bholua but of similar height, ie 2.5 to 3m, and later in flower and with a longer flowering period in spring; up to 10 weeks. Flower buds are pink-flushed but the open flowers are cream.
