Daucus carota subsp. maximus ‘Cyprian Giant’

The wild Mediterranean Carrot is a giant subspecies to 1.5m tall, but this form originates from Cyprus where plants were up to 2.5m tall! Deeply dissected hairy, lacey foliage and vertical stems topped by white or pale pink delicate looking umbels, giving way to seed heads that curve and close in on the seeds, making an attractive and curious, almost globose structure. For moist soils in sun.
