Dicentra canadensis

A highly attractive yet unusual member of the genus from NE N America where it grows in rich mesic deciduous forests as a spring ephemeral. Heart-shaped pale-pink-tinged white flowers over beautiful grey-green, highly divided foliage in early to mid spring, becoming deciduous for the summer. For deciduous shade in good soil, improved with organic matter. Height 15-30cm.
