Elaeocarpus sylvestris

New on the scene, this small evergreen tree from China and Vietnam is proving a success in a few UK gardens so far. The attractive narrow foliage flushes with coppery tints and the white turning cream flowers are borne in short racemes, followed by small blue fruit. These were found as street trees on Cheju-do island, Korea.
