Elsholtzia flava PAB 13.012

A collection from the Japfü massif, Nagaland, NE India, at 1830m asl. This species has broad sumptuous foliage that emerges deep purple and holds this colour for a while, especially at the extremities of the leaves. Terminal heads of small warm-yellow flowers in late autumn. Height to 1.8m. Mulch over the base in winter to be safe, but hardy here without for a few years so far.
