Eucalyptus coccifera

'Mount Wellington Peppermint'. One of the hardiest and most attractive species from the mountains of Tasmania, this makes a large, fast growing tree with very glaucous leaves and twigs; the bark being white when first exposed and turning grey. As small plants the foliage appears quite green, but this soon changes. Requiring a sunny position, this is drought tolerant and remains completely unaffected by cold in all but the very coldest winters in Southern UK and can be grown in the milder gardens as far north as Far NW Scotland.
