Euonymus planipes ‘Sancho’

A very free flowering selection of the species, leading to an abundance of large showy scarlet fruit, opening to reveal dangling orange seeds. One of the finest of the Spindles in fruit, but also due to its superb red autumn colour, this species from Sakhalin and Japan makes a large rounded shrub. Easy and hardy in most soils in sun or semi-shade but autumn colour will be strongest in good light.
