Euonymus sp. from China

This particularly handsome species was obtained from the famous Japanese nursery of Mr Yamaguchi. It was originally collected in China, but has yet to be identified. An evergreen species with elegant, slim, fairly small foliage and a mass of dark-red flowers in spring, followed by distinctively shaped light pink capsules opening to show orange seeds. Apparently a small shrub.
