Ficus carica x pumila

An exceptionally curious and unlikely sounding hybrid between the classic edible fig from W Asia and an evergreen climbing fig from the Far East, forming a scandent climbing plant closer to F. pumila, but with lobed foliage and a semi-deciduous habit. Generally hardy over most of the UK, this is best against a sunny wall, where it will forever be a talking point.
