Gentiana asclepiadea Pale blue form

The Willow Gentian. An easy herbaceous species for any reasonably good soil in semi-shade, not too dry. Elegant pale blue flowers in this form, produced all down the arching stems in late summer, though as they are raised from seed one can occasionally find odd other shades of blue or white turning up! The common name derives from the willowy foliage. Height about 50cm.
