Grevillea australis

From high altitude in SE Australia, this is considered the hardiest species where grown in the NW USA. Forming a compact, rounded shrub to about 1.3m tall it produces a mass of honey-scented creamy-white flowers in spring over diminutive, narrow, rosemary-like foliage, silver-grey under. This should prove hardy through the UK given adequate drainage. Sun. Not for chalk soils.
