Hakea microcarpa

A most unusual plant with a look like no other we can grow in the UK. A medium to large dense shrub of upright form with linear evergreen needle-like foliage looking more like a conifer, though actually a member of the Protea family from Tasmania and SE Australia. Clusters of attractive white flowers are produced in abundance during April and May. Not for very limy soils, but otherwise a fully hardy plant. (previously erroneously sold as H. lissosperma)
