Halesia carolina Monticola Group

One of the finest forms of Snowdrop Tree from S.E. USA with larger than usual flowers and a more tree-like form than standard H. carolina. A very pretty small to medium sized, sometimes multi-stemmed, spreading tree when seen in May with its naked branches strung with countless clusters of pendulous, white, Snowdrop-like flowers before the leaves emerge. Winged green fruits follow. Requires lime free soil, not too dry, in sun or semi-shade.
