A very rare plant indeed in UK cultivation, originating in Manipur, NE India, but also found in N Burma. A low growing, early flowering, deciduous ginger lily, producing highly attractive spidery heads of canary-yellow flowers with long exserted orange stamen, from July/August in Southern Britain, later in the North. 80cm tall. For sun or semi-shade in good soil. Exact hardiness unknown as yet, so mulch over the base for winter, or grow in a pot, overwintered frost free.
