Originally found in Manipur, NE India. This great rarity makes a low growing clump of leafy pseudostems usually 50 - 80cm high, topped in late summer by beautiful inflorescences of lightly scented, delicately divided soft-yellow flowers with long, exserted red stamen which lighten in colour towards the base. Mulch in winter. Sun. Recently sold as H. gomezianum, which is very similar.
