Hedychium maximum NJM 10.036

The most imposing of all species with particularly large leaves and very thick strongly red-tinted stems, evergreen in mild climates or in a conservatory, and topped in late summer/autumn by particularly large, deliciously and exotically scented cream-yellow flowers. Height 1.5 to 1.8m. Best in a conservatory over winter though will overwinter happily outside with a deep mulch in most areas. My 2010 collection from Northern Vietnam.
