Hedychium spicatum Broad leaf form

A very fine form of H. spicatum with huge foliage for a Ginger lily; larger than most if not all forms of H. spicatum. Excellent dense inflorescences of spidery flowers are a mix of white, orange-red and yellow and are pretty much the finest known of this species and highly superior to some clones. The uniformly subtly red marked stems are an added attraction. Rich soil in a warm sheltered position in sun. One of the very hardiest and tolerant of way below -10c. An easy plant. Perhaps a seedling of the very similar PB 57188?
