Hedychium yunnanense PAB 7361

A highly attractive relatively recent introduction from Manipur, NE India, with cream flowers and long extended orange stamen radiating fully around the inflorescence, atop leafy stems to 75cm. The flowers are borne extremely early for an Hedychium, in July outside here. This should be fully hardy in the ground and is here, without a mulch, but also an excellent pot plant. Rich soil in sun or semi-shade.
