Grown from plants derived originally from seed collected in the Azerbaijan Caucasus, this is a close relation of Angelica. Large, slightly silvery-green basal foliage divided into broad, beefy segments, making a mound about 1m across. Branched heads of big, broad umbels of creamy-primrose flowers from lime-green buds in August reach approx' 1.5m high on strong stems. Very hardy and easy here at the nursery for many years. Suited to most soils in sun, this is unavailable elsewhere.
