Heracleum stevenii

A truly exceptional and spectacular species from the Crimea, producing multiple very broad umbels of white flowers in a complex inflorescence up to 1.5 meters across and 1.5m tall. Very bold deeply lobed foliage with a grey-green sheen, paler under. Creates real drama in the garden. Hardy and easy. Often perennial, but sometimes monocarpic, though always self sowing generously. Seedlings are easily hoed out where not wanted.
