Holboellia brachyandra

One of the most exciting new climbers in years and the largest flowered species in this most attractive genus. Clusters of up to nine palest-pink, exceptionally large, scented flowers, up to 2.5cm long on equally long contrasting red-purple stalks, are borne in late spring. Evergreen foliage is trifoliate, with three leaflets per leaf. Up to 5m high and probably best somewhat sheltered in winter. This flowers well even with permanent light shade.
