Hydrangea ‘Dharuma’

Early flowering and compact, this is a hybrid between H. paniculata and H. heteromalla, which is apparent in the flower heads which visually sit between the two, being broad relatively flattened complex inflorescences with white ray flowers liberally interspersed between the fertile florets; the whole soon turning pink. A rounded upright plant to only 1.5m tall, flowering abundantly in early summer on sturdy burgundy tinted branches. Tough and tolerant, for sun or semi-shade.
