Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Rotschwanz’
One of the Teller series, this is an exceptional and highly desirable form, making a medium sized deciduous shrub with lacecap flowers composed of large, deep pinkish-red sterile florets with each section curled when mature so as to form a cross, surrounding pale-pink fertile flowers. Leaves turn deep red in autumn. If soil is very acid lacecaps will be a deep, rich purple.
