Juglans major

Very handsome, but rarely seen, this is a classic example of a hardy, drought tolerant attractive tree with splendid foliage that should be far more widely grown. From Arizona and NW Mexico, this walnut makes a medium sized deciduous tree to about 15m high with a rounded crown and pinnate leaves composed of up to fifteen lance shaped leaflets.
