Libertia umbellata HCM 98.089

An interesting collection from Chile with distinctive bluey-green evergreen foliage and creamy-white flowers on stems to 60cm in May/June. Spreads gently to form an open patch. Very hardy with me in my nasty cold frost pocket, even through 2009/10 winters at -14c! Sun or semi-shade. I have seen this growing in shade as forest understory in the Chilean coastal cordillera, under ancient Araucaria and Nothofagus dombeyi.
