Lindera aff. pulcherrima NJM 13.047

Related to and with a resemblance to that quintessentially Asian Lauraceous genus, Neolitsea, this made a large evergreen shrub or small tree in nature at over 2000m alt. The relatively small evergreen ovate leaves glaucous beneath and distinctly veined above, emerging red-bronze. A foliage shrub for a sheltered place, probably hardy only in the milder coastal districts or other mild areas. Previously sold as Litsea sp.
