Lomatia myricoides

A hardy but very rarely seen Protea relative from SE Australia, making a bushy, medium sized, evergreen shrub with long, very narrow, lightly toothed leaves a joy in themselves. Very fragrant, white, Grevillea-like flowers borne en masse in July. Not for chalky soils and best in part shade.
