Luculia gratissima

A winter flowering semi-evergreen shrub, much loved across its natural range in Asia and in warm countries elsewhere. Rounded heads of open faced, sweetly scented pale-pink flowers in mid-winter if grown frost free, ie in a heated glasshouse or conservatory or in the mildest gardens outside, ie coastal or Central London. The bronzy new growth is an added attraction.
