Magnolia ‘Maryland’

A hybrid between M. grandiflora and M. virginiana, leaning more toward the former, though with slightly smaller foliage than some forms, and thought by some Magnolia connoisseurs to be superior to either parent. A large evergreen shrub or small tree with glossy, leathery leaves and large, bowl shaped, fragrant white flowers in late summer.
