Magnolia stellata ‘Jane Platt’
Regarded as the finest pink form of the species. This cultivar is extremely floriferous and has up to 30 tepals per flower, borne on the bare branches in spring. Makes a slow growing densely branched large shrub, rarely more than 3m tall, or, given 50 years or so, a small tree. Hardy, easy and tolerant.
