Metapanax davidii

A hardy, slow growing evergreen large shrub from China and N Vietnam, bearing deep green leaves either entire or variably divided into two or three lobes and rather resembling an arborescent ivy. A shrub to about 3m high eventually, with a broad habit. Umbels of small white flowers in long terminal panicles in summer, followed by black fruits. For sun or shade.
