Miscanthus sacchariflorus
A giant species reaching 3m or more with strong upright culms and outwardly arching broad bright-green long tapering leaves, this forms a broad-based clump; slowly spreading but non-invasive here. Excellent as a contrast to bold foliage in an exotic garden or as a strongly upright element in mixed perennial plantings, etc. For sunny position in most soils.
