Miscanthus sinensis ‘Kleine Silberspinne’

A fine textured tightly clumping very hardy grass to 1.2 to 1.5m tall, making good dense clumps of relatively slim foliage; each with a central silver spine (silberspinne). Reddish tassel-like flowerheads soon turn silvery brown and are seen in late summer atop the upright stems. Hardy, for sun or semi-shade. Another selection from the celebrated and prolific German nurseryman Ernst Pagels.
