Monarda bradburiana

An early flowering compact wild bergamot species from the Central and Southern USA with pale lilac-pink flowers in early summer over highly fragrant foliage. More tolerant to drier soils than others and with a non-running rootstock, this makes a tight clump to only 60cm high. Good for pollinators. Hardy.
