Myrrhis odorata ‘Forncett Chevron’

Sweet Cicely is a perennial umbellifer from the mountains of Southern and Central Europe that has naturalised here in the UK, especially in the north. This seed raised cultivar has particularly good white markings on the foliage. A handsome garden plant with finely divided ferny foliage emerging early in spring, with white lacy umbels in May-June. It's also an edible aromatic herb with a strong flavour and scent of anise; both the foliage and crunchy seeds being used. Hardy and easy in sun or semi-shade and drought tolerant.
