Nothofagus dombeyi

One of my favourite of all large trees. This very elegant, small leaved evergreen comes from the temperate forests of S Chile where it grows into wonderful flat topped, almost cedar like specimens with cherry-like bark when young. Here it is a fast growing tree with all parts quietly attractive, and simply beautiful as a whole. For any reasonable soil.
