Nyssa sylvatica ‘Red Red Wine’

Another new cultivar of the N. American 'Tupelo', this time with extra red pigmentation. New leaves emerge red, turning green over the season, then to superb red tones in autumn. For neutral to acid soil, coping well with fairly wet sites if necessary. Makes a medium size tree eventually. An excellent cultivar with a bad name.
