Pachysandra axillaris

Related to both Buxus and Sarcococca, this low growing evergreen ground covering shrublet from China bears fragrant, pink tinged white flowers, in the style of Christmas Box, but in April. Pale pink fruits follow. The broader shinier foliage is a great improvement on the common P. terminalis. Easy in deep to light shade in any soil bar thin chalk.
