An award winning switchgrass from the USA, noted for its particularly upright habit and broad blue-green foliage from a dense clump; very useful where one needs a structural element. Flowering in late summer, with fine airy masses of tiny pinky-green flowers, the leaves go on to turn to shades of orangey-yellow. Extremely drought tolerant, but also perfectly happy with a deluge when planted in well drained soil. 1.5m.
