Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’

Deep-red spikes of flower from blackish-red buds over a long late summer season, from Aug to Oct. Makes a weed smothering wide clump to 70cm high. Non running and non invasive. One of the finest recent forms. For sun or semi-shade - not too bone dry, though really rather tolerant.
