Phlomis bourgaei

This very unusual species from SW Turkey is an excellent foliage plant with its densely hairy slim summer foliage which is variably highly undulate and either grey or with sand-yellow tints, turning to broad green foliage in spring. Yellow to sandy yellow flowers in late spring/early summer. For sunny well drained sites and excellent with other Mediterranean flora etc. I've found this perfectly hardy for a number of years in my high Cotswold garden.
