Phlomis ‘Toob’

This came to me as P. angustifolia, which is a synonym of P. fruticosa. Its true identity is unclear; it needs a name, so I've given it one for the wonderful foliage texture it possesses, having soft grey-green leaves longitudinally in-rolled to show very pale grey undersides. Yellow flowers in early summer. A small to medium sized evergreen shrub to about 1.5m tall and 2m across for sun and well drained soil. This can be kept much smaller with annual pruning. Very heat and drought tolerant.
