Physalis alkekengi var. franchetii Monstrose form

A rare form of 'Chinese Lanterns' with the profusely borne fruits transformed into bizarre and extraordinary, contorted, rich-orange chilli-like structures. which also make fine dried arrangements especially around Halloween. These are seen September to October on a mounding gently running plant 50cm high. For a well drained position in sun or semi-shade. Completely hardy.
