Pilea matsudae

A 2011 collection from 2100m on Taiping Shan, Taiwan. A hardy shade loving plant, grown for the excellent white striped, coarsely toothed foliage, borne en-masse on herbaceous stems to 80cm tall. A non-stinging member of the Urticaceae family, enjoying regular moisture in summer. This is virtually identical to 'Taiwan Silver', but of a different origin.
