Pilea scripta

The Himalayan Clearweed makes a handsome and rather exotic-looking foliage plant, with the drawn out foliage deeply and obviously marked with three prominent longitudinal veins. Highly suited to understory plantings in the 'exotic' garden, this will also find a happy home in any semi to full shade reasonably moist position. When trekking through the subtropical forests of Asia one often finds this kind of foliage brushing around one's knees. Relatively irrelevant cream to pink flowers are seen late summer. Mulch for winter.
