Pinus greggii NJM 09.014

Collected from trees high in NE Mexico, at 2600m, this is a hardy species in the UK, given a reasonably sheltered position, where it will make a medium sized tree. Makes a handsome specimen on account of its grass-green young foliage, up to 15cm long. The slim, shiny, creamy-brown cones persist for many years on the branches, like its relative, P. radiata.
